- Development of Primitive Tribal Groups (PTGS)
- Fill the gaps in education, health, drinking water, agro-horticultural produvtivity, social security, etc;
- Innovative activity having direct impact in socio-economic development or livelihood generation.
- Vocational training in tribal areas
- To improve educational & socio-economic conditions of the SCs. Upgrade skill and enable them to start income generating activities on their own or get gainfully employed in another sector.
- Similarly with STs
- enhance the welfare schemes of Government and fill the gaps in service deficient tribal areas, in the sectors such as education, health, drinking water, agro-horticultural productivity, social security etc., and to provide an environment for socio- economic upliftment and overall development of the Scheduled Tribes (STs).
- Food processing
- Organise, co-sponsor, participate in all India level seminars, workshops, fairs, exhibitions to encourage investment in food processing and create aweness of the schemes by the ministry, also through print & AV media
- Commission studies/surveys to assess & evaluate the various aspects f food processing sectors and allied activities
- Road shows, development of software and investor facilitation activities
- Training centre for various job roles in food processing. Training modules to be in English, Hindi and other languages.
- Reduce wastage of agricultural products
- Provide employment opportunities
- Establishing silage-making units to preserve surplus fodder for feeding during lean periods.
- Setting up food upgradation and food testing laboratory
- Establishing training centres and expansion on those existing for training and skill development in job roles related to food processing
- Development of curriculum/training module in english, hindi and recognised regional languages
- Setting up Handloom Development Centre (HDCs) and quality dying units.
- Vegetable and Fruit Market Waste compost, and bioferttilizers and biopesticides production units.
- Strengthening of agricultural marketing infrastructure.
- Biogas development and improved chulhas
- Adult education and skill development:
- Achieving self reliance in literacy and numeracy
- Acquiring skills to improve economic status and general well being
- Institutionalise the renewable energy education and training to cater the requirement of qualified and trained manpower.
