Women Initiatives

    • Projects in the fields of welfare and development of women and children, including Food and Nutrition aspects. Priority given to research projects of an applied nature keeping in consideration plan policies & programmes and social problems that require urgent public intervention. Cover:
      • Research for development of innovative programmes or for testing the feasibility and efficacy of programmes & services
      • workshops/seminars/conferences which will be helpful in formulating research proposals, disseminating research findings or in social situational analysis likely to be helpful in planning, programming and review of implementation,
      • monitoring of programmes and training of personnel,
      • promotion of innovative activities
    • Construction of a hostel for single women primarily, also for those who are being trained for employment (1yr max. in hostel), students (5yrs)
    • Create Self Help Groups for the rural poor to enable their employment
    • Training, skill development, encouraging formation of cooperative societies and enable women to take up employment cum income generation programmes.
      • Providing legal aid to working women
      • Conduct seminars/workshops to generate general consciousness in society regarding women labour
